Where did it all start?

Ever since she was a child, Paula wanted to inspire and support people.  She also knew the 9-5 office grind wasn’t for her and set up as a Consultant 9 years ago after working in hedge funds and as a free-lance accountant/bookkeeper.   Paula helps you create new businesses and take existing ones to the next level through her bespoke Consulting skills and Courses.

Paula says “I shaped this company to help businesses and show that it’s totally possible to create the work environment that you want – and organise it in a way that really helps you grow rather than defeats you.  Having worked on site as a consultant for many years I began to realise that the chaotic, often weak  structures different businesses established  for their accounts teams was often holding them back and was surprised to see how many finance teams – quite often the engine room of any business – were more often than not the “elephant in the room”. so I developed APH Consultants  to facilitate change in order that businesses can thrive with just a few tweaks here and there and some thought out development and structure within their accounts procedures and protocols.

There are no right or wrong ways to do things – I just like making it work for you and how you want to work.

I’ve always been an organised type of person. It’s pretty in-built in me. I love planning and having order in life, and will write lists and spreadsheets whenever I can and although being organised can seem like a really good thing (especially to people who struggle with it), and it is – to an extent I’ve learnt over the years that (as with most things in life) you’ve just got to get the balance right”.
